If you’re throwing a big birthday bash, have recently got engaged (ooh, congrats to you) or you’ve been elected to organise the company knees-up – look no further. As well as our just-right-for-a-pint bar, we’ve also got Penshurst room – which gives off serious outside/inside vibes – Hadlow Room, which is bob-on for meetings – and bookable huts outside too.

With our hotel-y type bedrooms just above the pub, your guests haven’t far to travel to rest their heads after a night of partying, or a day of brainstorming. A cracking breakfast in the pub the next morning will set them up, ready them for the day ahead.

80th Birthday Celebrations

We were a group of 14 great friends celebrating my husband’s 80th birthday. We had a brilliant time, the food was delicious and the team looked after us so well, they were all so kind and friendly. A special mention to Paula who was so attentive and looked after us all with such kindness. We were able to go in earlier to decorate the room and tables. We are delighted with everything. Couldn’t have wished for a better place to celebrate!

Is there a car park at the Carpenter's Arms?

Yes, we’ve got a pretty sizable car park. it’s free and you’re welcome to leave your car here overnight.

Do you have a private space?

Yes, we have the Hadlow Room (great for up-to 20 guests) and the Penshurst Room (spot-on for up to 50 people.)

Do you have bookable areas outside?

We do have bookable space outside. You could either book to dine (or drink) on the patio, or pergola. There are also bookable huts outside that are ideal for up to 10 people.

Does the pub have rooms for guests to stay overnight?

We’ve got nine comfy bedrooms just a staircase away. This is great, as it means your party guests don’t have to worry about getting a taxi (although we’ve got some Tonbridge cab numbers up our sleeve.)
